City lock in pre-season friendly

The boys have only just returned for pre-season training, but City fans won’t have to wait long to see them in action, with Patrick Kisnorbo’s squad set to face NPL side Dandenong Thunder later this month!

The team will travel to George Andrews Reserve on Tuesday 26 July, with the clash set to kick-off at 7:30pm.

Serving as the squads first proper hit out prior to its upcoming Australia Cup Round of 32 clash, this match will also be the first time City’s Men’s squad will play in the South East since the Club’s move to Casey Fields.

Entry will be free for all City and Dandenong Thunder members, while non-members can purchase a ticket at the gate for $10. City Members can simply show their 2022/23 Membership confirmation email to gain access.

Renew your membership or sign-up today at shop.melbournecityfc.com.au, or give us a call on 1300 255 432.

For fans unable to attend, we’ll be covering the clash across our Club social channels, including an extended highlights package post-game.

Keep an eye out for new signings Callum Talbot and Richard van der Venne, who are a chance to play in City colours for the first time after impressing on the training pitch in the early stages of pre-season.

After a strong NPL3 season to date, recent scholarship signing Arion Sulemani could also be in line to make his first appearance for City’s senior squad against Dandenong Thunder, the team he played his junior football with.
