It was the game in which Florin Berenguer pulled off that delightful backheel for a Jamie Maclaren goal, and although all Derby wins are huge, this night was extra special for a lucky pair of City Members.
Thanks to Principal Partner Etihad Airways, Peter and wife Elaine won themselves a trip to Abu Dhabi. Although this may have now have been over two years ago, Etihad still honoured the prize and they recently got to go on their big trip!
So finally, 27 months later, they flew business class on a 14-hour flight from Melbourne to Abu Dhabi earlier this month.
Their trip saw them get up to plenty during their stay, including; checking out Ferrari World, a dune safari, sandboarding, Warner Brothers World, Waterworld and lots more!
“The city of Abu Dhabi is an amazing assortment of architectural marvels,” Peter said.
“From skyscrapers featured in The Fast and the Furious to presidential palaces, the most impressive building was the grand mosque – a massive monument to Islam.”
