Melbourne City FC can confirm defender Manny Muscat has signed for the Club on a two year deal, commencing at the conclusion of the Hyundai A-League 2015/16 season.
Muscat, 31, will join Melbourne City after eight seasons with Wellington Phoenix in the A-League.
Originally from Melbourne, Muscat returns to the city where his career commenced; first with local clubs Sunshine George Cross and Green Gully Cavliers before he was recruited to Australia’s national domestic competition by Phoenix in 2008.
Muscat has since been a mainstay throughout Wellington’s last eight seasons, tallying 186 appearances for the New Zealand outfit.
Muscat also received a call up to Malta’s national team in 2009 and has since made 9 appearances for his country.
