City to face Newcastle on Tuesday

Melbourne City FC’s Isuzu UTE A-League Men’s squad will travel to Newcastle for a Tuesday Night Football clash this week, following a fixture update from the A-Leagues on Saturday night.

City was originally scheduled to host Perth Glory on Sunday but a number of positive COVID-19 cases within the Perth Glory squad meant that the clash needed to be postponed.

Now, the reigning A-League Men’s Champions will be playing away at McDonald Jones Stadium on Tuesday 8 February, catching up on a previously postponed fixture from New Year’s Day.

With another away fixture this Friday night against Western Sydney on the cards, the City squad will remain in NSW for the week as they embark on a congested month of football.

Dubbed the February Football Frenzy, City will be in action 6 times in 19 days. The month is headlined by a rapid 3-match home stand where City will host Adelaide, Newcastle and Central Coast in the space of 7 days.

To celebrate the frenzy of football, the A-Leagues have launched a special $20 ticket offer for all games across the month of February. Fans will be able to purchase adult general admission tickets for $20 + booking fee.
