Earning 41 international caps for the Netherlands, van ‘t Schip enjoyed a decorated playing career, winning a European Championship, four domestic titles, a UEFA Cup and Cup Winners Cup as he played a central role in Ajax and Dutch football-s late 80s renaissance.
After finishing his playing days in Italy, van ‘t Schip returned to Ajax, his spiritual home, in 1997, building the foundations of a coaching career which has culminated in his appointment to the Hyundai A-League-s newest football club.
