With Sydney FC in form, I think it-s certainly going to be a difficult challenge for our team at AAMI Park tomorrow night.
They had a good away win against Adelaide United last week, and also performed strongly at home to Brisbane Roar a week earlier despite losing.
Their first half performance in that particular match was promising, while during the opening round of the season against Victory at Etihad Stadium, Sydney produced a fine display.
Sydney is full of confidence at the moment and possesses players up front who are capable of scoring or providing assists such as Nick Carle and Terry Antonis, who is a young talented player. Their defence is also very robust and play out very well with Dutchman Pascal Bosschaart in the back.
However, we can-t focus too intently on Sydney FC as we need to prepare our own tactics, and take with us the positive things we were able to draw from last week-s match against Victory.
During the Melbourne Derby, we played well and we showed we were making steps in the right direction. However, in order to maintain the upward trajectory, we need to secure a win tomorrow.
