E-League: City move to second, defeating Mariners

E-League: City move to second, defeating Mariners

Melbourne City has moved into outright second in the E-League on Thursday night, defeating Central Coast 4-3 on aggregate.

Marcus Gomes picked up the controller on both consoles with Josh Wood out of action and despite losing on his preferred XBOX platform, Gomes did enough on the PS4 to pick up the three points.

The first leg on the PlayStation saw him defeat Kiran Gupta 4-2 in a result that surprised Gomes himself while the second leg saw him conceded late in proceedings to go down 1-0 to Matthew Camillieri.

Gomes will be unavailable for the final match of the E-League season, travelling to Manchester for the second FUT Champions weekend. Josh Wood will be left to take on Wellington on both platforms before the all-important Finals Series.

Don’t forget you can catch all the E-League action on FOX Sports stream and Twitch.
