Melbourne City FC midfielder Aaron Mooy has picked up the Etihad Player of the Month award for his outstanding performances throughout February.
This is the third time Mooy has picked up the award with the winner against his old side at the start of February highlighting the accolade.
Melbourne City FC are number one in the league for scoring from set pieces and a lot of that credit goes down to Mooy’s set piece prowess in and around the penalty area.
From his spacial awareness in tight areas to the desperate interventions to stall opposition attacks, Mooy has become a big presence on the field, catching the eye of Socceroos Head Coach Ange Postecoglou.
