Nick Fitzgerald has continued his fine late season form, claiming back to back Etihad Player of the Month awards
Fitzgerald edged out Neil Kilkenny and Bruno Fornaroli for the award after continuing to impress for City in the run to the Finals Series.
Despite starting on the bench against Newcastle Jets in round 23, Fitzgerald came on to make a significant impact, adding energy and drive to City’s forward line.
The attacking midfielder netted City’s second goal in a resounding 4-0 victory, after some superb link-up play with Anthony Cáceres.
Fitzgerald’s influence against The Jets earned him a start against Western Sydney Wanderers the following week, and he quickly repaid City manager Michael Valkanis by setting up Neil Kilkenny’s opener after just three minutes.
