A hot point of conversation this time of year among football fans is of course, FIFA ratings.
So, you’re probably wondering… who’s the highest rated City player? Who’s gotten an upgrade? Where abouts do our new signings rank? Well don’t worry. We’ve got you covered with everything you need to know about the City squad in this year’s FIFA!
There are no surprises that once again, Jamie Maclaren is our highest rated player, coming in at 75 overall on this year’s edition of the game. Despite taking home a third consecutive Golden Boot last season, he’s surprisingly received a slight downgrade from FIFA 22.
New signing Kosovan international midfielder Valon Berisha comes in next at 74 after recently joining the club on loan from Ligue 1 outfit, Stade de Reims.
Mathew Leckie (71) takes out third place, while a +3 upgrade after a season that saw him crowned City’s Player of the Year brings Florin Berenguer up to 69. Our midfield maestro joins Nuno Reis, Curtis Good and Andrew Nabbout (+2) on the same rating.
Although he wasn’t a City player last season, Callum Talbot received a huge +11 upgrade to come in at 60 overall on FIFA 22.
Of last season’s squad, Jordan Bos’ breakout year saw him jump up to 59 (+7) and Raphael Borges Rodrigues also received a nice +5 boost to rise to 54 overall.
WHAT ABOUT OUR NEW SIGNINGS?
We’ve already mentioned Talbot and Berisha, so let’s jump straight to our other two new City boys.
Not much separates Thomas Lam (67) and Richard van der Venne (65), with the duo also keeping their same rating from last year.
