Following this morning’s announcement from Australian Professional Leagues, we can confirm a change to our Isuzu UTE A-League fixture for this coming weekend.
We were set to take on Macarthur at AAMI Park, but due to a number of positive COVID cases within their football department, that match has now been postponed.
City fans need not worry though, Sunday’s massive doubleheader will still be going ahead! Our Men’s squad will now take on Western Sydney Wanderers, with the kick-off time remaining at 6:45pm.

As originally scheduled, our City Women are set to take Wellington Phoenix at 4:05pm. Coming off the back of a stunning five-goal Melbourne Derby performance from Hannah Wilkinson, Sunday will provide a chance to consolidate second position on the table and make it four wins from our opening five games.
By Sunday, the majority of our Men’s squad will have had a week of training under their belt following a COVID-enforced break, so City fans can expect to see a strong line-up. Star striker Jamie Maclaren will also be available for selection having served his suspension.
Please note: any tickets purchased for the postponed Macarthur fixture will be valid for the rescheduled date once its confirmed. Tickets purchased to the Western Sydney game, originally scheduled for December 22, will be valid at this Sunday’s doubleheader. Any refunds required can be requested via Ticketek.
