Fixture Update: Semi Final date changed

Fixture Update: Semi Final date changed

Following this evening’s announcement from Australian Professional Leagues, we can today confirm that our home Semi Final has been pushed back 48 hours to Sunday 20 June with a 4.05pm kick off.

Tickets will go on sale Thursday 17 June via Ticketek and City members will get the chance to buy tickets from 9.00am with a 50% discount for up to two tickets. The remainder will go on sale to the general public at noon.

“Moving Melbourne City’s Semi Final back 48 hours will hopefully mean more fans are able to attend the game, and we are grateful to the Victorian Government for working closely with us to try to ensure the Semi Final is played in Melbourne and with the maximum possible crowd,” said APL Commissioner Greg O’Rourke.

“As things stand, unless DHHS determine that the current restrictions should remain in place at that date, which effectively means we would need to play behind closed doors, our firm intention is to play the Semi Final at AAMI Park – and the Grand Final too, should Melbourne City qualify.”

The Australian Professional Leagues (APL) will continue to work closely with the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) over the next week to try to ensure City can host its Semi Final in Melbourne.
