Adriana Jones is a 23-year-old Australian footballer with a knack for scoring goals. She is the daughter of former Newcastle Jets Head Coach Mark Jones.
Breakout season led to move abroad
Adriana first joined the W-League in 2013 when she signed with Newcastle Jets, before moving to Adelaide United in 2016.
Her first campaign with Adelaide proved to be a breakout season for the young attacker. In 2016-17, she netted nine goals in 11 W-League matches which led to a move to Chinese outfit Zhuhai Suoka Guangdong Football Club in Guangzhou.
She scored 13 goals in China before returning to the Reds ahead of the 2017-18 domestic season.
Triple treat
In Round 12 of the 2016-17 W-League campaign, Adriana scored a sublime hattrick to lead Adelaide United to a 10-2 demolition of Western Sydney Wanderers at the Elite Systems Football Centre in Adelaide.
It was the day Adriana announced herself and a performance that demonstrated her goal scoring prowess.
