In full
Her name is Tameka Butt. She is a 27-year-old midfielder who was born in Orange, New South Wales.
A new chapter
After making her W-League debut in 2008 for Brisbane Roar, Tameka spent the next 10 years in Queensland’s capital before joining Melbourne City.
It’s there that she won the Julie Dolan Medal for Westfield W-League Player of the Year and became a three-time premiership winner and twice a championship winner.
Goal-scoring midfielder
It’s not easy to find a midfielder who consistently hits the back of the net, but Tameka is one.
She currently sits third on the all-time W-League Goal Scorers list, highlighting her ability to hit the scoreboard.
Experience abroad
Following her time at the Queensland Academy of Sport, Tameka joined Brisbane Roar where she made over 100 appearances.
Not only has she formed an established career on home soil, but she has also played in America, Germany, Japan, Sweden and most recently Norway.
What to expect
The attacking midfielder not only possesses a lethal through ball, but she can also finish in front of goal when called upon.
With success both domestically and internationally, Tameka will also bring on-field leadership and a winning mentality.
