Melbourne Heart FC dropped a 2-0 lead to lose 3-2 against Wellington Phoenix FC at Westpac Stadium this evening.
Heart, missing a number of key regulars, started brightly, with Golgol Mebrahtu curling in one of the goals of the season direct from a free kick just 14 minutes into the match.
Heart doubled its lead when Andrew Durante deflected a low David Williams’ effort past his own keeper Mark Paston just seconds later.
But Louis Fenton pulled one back for the Nix, before a second-half Jeremie Brockie double gave Phoenix all three points.
