Injury Update: Florin Berenguer

Scans this week have confirmed the news that City’s midfield maestro, Florin Berenguer, will be out of action until after the World Cup break.

The Frenchman injured his hamstring at training just as he was about to re-join the main group. It’s a frustrating blow for our 2021/22 Player of the Year, but the World Cup break comes at a good time allowing him to rehab and be back for the leagues resumption.

He will be aiming to be ready to go for City’s first game following the break against Sydney FC on Saturday 10 December.

In other injury news, Nuno Reis will miss tomorrow night’s fixture against Brisbane with a less serious hamstring injury, while Thomas Lam and Curtis Good are both tracking well and are in contention to play.

City will face Brisbane Roar away from home on Friday night and you can catch all the action live on Paramount+ from 7:30pm.
