Melbourne City FC midfielder Aaron Mooy continued his domestic form on international level, starring for Socceroos last night in their 4-0 win over Bangladesh.
In his third consecutive call-up to the national team, Mooy was involved in all four goals during his 45-minute cameo.
Starting on the right side of midfielder, the 25-year-old twice assisted Tim Cahill while also playing a key part in Australia’s two other goals.
Mooy’s precise free-kick after five minutes allowed Cahill to open the scoring with a trademark header before a swift cut back a quarter-of-an-hour from the break saw Cahill complete his hat-trick.
Fox Sports Football rated Mooy alongside Cahill as the game’s best performers.
Mooy is likely to be available for Melbourne City FC this Friday night as John van’t Schip’s side travel to Brisbane.
