Jason Hoffman was signed in 2010 as a member of the inaugural Melbourne City FC squad. A product of the New South Wales Institute of Sport, Hoffman made his senior team debut at the age of 18 for the Newcastle Jets, playing an important role in their successful campaign for the A-League 2007 championship.
He has also had 11 appearances for theYoung Socceroos, and 13 for the Olyroos. Hoffman is a no-frills attacker who can play out to the left, and he is regarded as an excellent reader of the game. The Hoff or Hoffy, as he is known to teammates, is a connoisseur of coffee and regularly tweets about his quest to find the perfect cup.
