Regarded as one of the best talents in women’s football, Fishlock played a starring role in midfield during City’s inaugural campaign, where she featured 11 times and scored two goals as the Club secured a historic Premiership and Championship double.

Starting her career with hometown club Cardiff City Ladies in Wales, Fishlock had a successful tenure across the United Kingdom and Europe, winning a number of personal honours, as well as the European Champions League with German side FFC Frankfurt. The 28-year-old then made the switch to United States club Seattle, lifting the NSWL title in 2014.

Capped 87 times by the Welsh National Team, Fishlock has also enjoyed a distinguished career at international level, winning the Welsh Women’s Player of the Year award on four occasions.

After spending two seasons as a player-coach under Joe Montemurro, Fishlock will assume responsibility as Head Coach of City’s Westfield W-League team for the remainder of the 2016/17 season.
