Junior Matildas Captain signs with Melbourne City for remainder of season

We are excited to announce the signing of current Junior Matildas Captain, Shelby McMahon, for the remainder of the A-League Women’s season.

The 15-year-old midfielder has signed with the Club as a replacement player for injured Matilda, Holly McNamara.

McMahon makes the move to Melbourne from Queensland’s Gold Coast Knights and will get her first professional opportunity at City.

She began training with the squad last week and will wear the number 12 shirt for the remainder of the 2023/24 season.

City will next be in action this Thursday night, hosting Western United in the first leg of a public holiday eve doubleheader at AAMI Park. Click here to get tickets!
