We’ve combined with Professional Footballers Australia (PFA) to support the nation’s bushfire recovery efforts with a charity match that will be a curtain raiser for our clash with Perth Glory.

As the Summer of Football continues, join us at AAMI Park and enjoy the action on Saturday! Get your tickets here! For each ticket sale, City will donate $2 to Rural Aid.

What’s happening?

OzFootball Aid

City and Professional Footballers Australia have come together to support Australia’s bushfire recovery efforts with a charity match featuring greats from football, Hollywood and television.

The match will be curtain raiser for Saturday’s clash with Perth Glory, kicking off at 5:00pm before the A-League clash at 7:30pm!

The charity match will include appearances from Craig Foster, Josip Skoko, Thomas Sorensen, Sarah Walsh, Kathryn Gill and celebrities Anthony LaPaglia, Ed Kavalee, Simon Hill and Shane Delia.

Visit Gates 2 and 7 to collect your Lotus Living player collector cards for Round 16! Limited cards available, so make sure you get down to the game to continue your 2019/20 collection. This week we have Curtis Good and Denis Genreau up for grabs!

Macca’s Play on the Pitch

Macca’s Play on the Pitch is giving you the opportunity to have a kick with fellow City fans on AAMI Park following our clash with Perth. Please bring your own footballs and wear appropriate footwear. Macca’s Play on the Pitch will commence approximately 15 minutes after the final whistle.

Citizenship Ceremony

For the fourth consecutive year we will hold a Citizenship and Affirmation Ceremony, as 60 new Australians from 32 different countries will be conferred before our clash with Perth.  

We encourage our fans to join in the ceremony by repeating the Affirmation and singing the National Anthem with them.

City Square

City Square will be closed this week due to the OzFootball Aid charity curtain raiser so head straight into the stadium to enjoy the match. City in the Community’s football clinics will still go ahead on Gosch’s Paddock. 

Gate Openings and Seating

Gates open from 4:30pm. The Chairman’s Club guests are invited to watch the OzFootball Aid match from City Class – The Chairman’s Club will open at 6:00pm. 

All seating will be treated as General Admission until after the OzFootball Aid final whistle. Reserved seating will come into play for our Hyundai A-League clash as per normal.

Getting to AAMI Park

Public Transport is the quickest and easiest way to get to AAMI Park, with extra services running to and from the ground on match day.

  • The nearest train station is Richmond Station, which is just a short stroll along Swan Street and Olympic Boulevard to AAMI Park
  • Passengers travelling from the city can board Tram Route 70 to Wattle Park from Flinders Street Station to Stop 7D – AAMI Park
  • Passengers using Southern Cross Station can connect with Route 48 trams on Collins Street.
  • Bus Route 246 stops at the corner of Punt Road and Swan Street, which is also close to AAMI Park
