After a stellar final month of the season, City midfielder Riley McGree has been awarded the NAB Young Footballer of the Month for April.
The nod is McGree’s second nomination for the Young Footballer of the Year Award after first being nominated as the March nominee for during the 2016/17 season.
McGree has found the back of the net multiple times in the run to the 2019 Finals Series, capping off the season as the Club’s equal top scorer.
McGree is the final nominee for the Young Footballer of the Year Award alongside Chris Ikonomidis (October/November), Sarpreet Singh (December), Lachlan Wales (January), Thomas Deng (February) and Keanu Baccus (March).
The Young Footballer of the Year Award will be announced at the Dolan Warren Awards which will be held on Monday 13 May at The Star Event Centre in Sydney.
