The Ambassador of the Republic of Korea, His Excellency Mr Bonghyun Kim, visited
AAMI Park on June 17 for a tour of the facility ahead of the 2015 AFC Asian Cup.

The Republic of Korea is one of 16 teams to qualify for the Asian Cup, which is being held in Australia for the first time in its history in January 2015.

AAMI Park, which will revert to its non-commercial name of Melbourne-s Rectangular Stadium during the tournament, will be a key venue hosting seven matches including a quarter final. The Republic of Korea will play at the stadium should it reach the quarter final stage.

During his visit the Ambassador met with Mr Brian Morris, CEO of Melbourne and Olympic Parks, and Melbourne City FC CEO, Scott Munn.

Mr Gary Pearce from Hyundai Motor Company, the official sponsor of the Hyundai A-League, was also on hand to meet the Ambassador who was presented with an official game ball and a Melbourne City FC T-Shirt as mementos from the tour.

Tickets for the 2015 AFC Asian Cup are on sale now. More information is available from the Official Ticketing Guide.
