Melbourne City FC launch 2019 Premier Schools Tournament


Melbourne City FC has launched its 2019 Premier Schools Tournament, inviting some of the state’s top schools to compete for the title. 

The competition allows schools to compete against their top competitors and gives them a chance to be crowed the ultimate Victorian champions, with the Grand Final set to be played at the City Football Academy in Bundoora. In order to participate, teams can qualify for the Premier Schools Tournament by winning their respective school association tournaments. 

The Premier Schools Tournament comes with a number of perks, including a free masterclass session with Melbourne City FC coaches and a free three-game membership for every participating player and coach. 

The champions of both the girls and boys competitions will win a VIP experience at AAMI Park at a Melbourne City FC match day during the 2019/20 season, where they will grace the pitch pre-match with a Lap of Honour, rubbing shoulders with City players behind the scenes. 

The girls tournament will be held at Kingston Health Soccer Complex on Wednesday 4 September, while the boys will follow two days later on Friday 6 September at the same venue. 

Register before Friday 16 August for your chance to be crowned the ultimate Victorian champion. 

Tournament details:

Girls tournament: Wednesday 4 September, Kingston Heath Soccer Complex 

Boys tournament: Friday 6 September, Kingston Heath Soccer Complex 

Grand Final (Girls and Boys): Thursday 12 September, City Football Academy, Bundoora 

All participating teams will receive the following: 

  • FREE masterclass session with Melbourne City FC coaches 
  • FREE three-match membership for every player and coach 

1st Prize includes:

  • VIP tour of AAMI Park on a Melbourne City FC match day during the 2019/20 season
