Melbourne City FC’s will travel to the south-eastern suburbs to face NPL Victoria’s Oakleigh Cannons.
City will face its fellow FFA Cup opponents on Wednesday 9 September at Jack Edwards Reserve, kick-off 7:30pm.
Oakleigh finished the NPL Victoria in a disappointing 11th position, unable to shrug off a sluggish start that saw the departure of then coach Miron Bleiberg.
With the Westfield FFA Cup their focus, Oakleigh negotiated their way through the qualifying stages under returning coach Arthur Pappas, eliminating 2014’s surprise packets South Springvale in a tight encounter.
With former A-League players like Steve Pantelidis, Sean Rooney, Matt Foschini, Kofi Danning and Mirjan Pavlovic within their ranks, the Cannons will be no slouch come September 9
