Melbourne Heart FC CEO Scott Munn has issued a rallying call inviting fans to register their interest in the Hyundai A-League-s newest football club.
With the team-s identity now revealed, Heart has commenced the countdown to its competition debut, and there-s only one way to ensure you are at the forefront of the action.
Having made nearly 100 combined appearances at senior international level and played across three continents, Head Coach John van ‘t Schip and his assistants Jesper Olsen and Ante Milicic bring a wealth of experience, gathered under some of the great football thinkers of all time.
Football luminaries such as Johan Cruyff and Sir Alex Ferguson are among the number of coaching doyens to have inspired the Heart-s coaching staff, providing the club with a unique insight into the inner machinations of European Football.
Although the player recruiting process remains in its early stages, Heart has already managed to secure the signings of Qantas Socceroos Dean Heffernan, Matt Thompson and Kristian Sarkies as well as youth international Jason Hoffman, who featured at the recent U/20 World Cup in Egypt.
And with more signings poised to be announced in the coming weeks, the Heart-s future is looking bright.
Munn is confident the club is on track to make a real impression during its inaugural Hyundai A-League campaign.
“At Melbourne Heart, we are acutely aware of the responsibilities we bear as advocates for elite level football in this state,” he said.
“And with John, Jesper and Ante on board, the club believes it has not only signed some of the brightest technical minds, but great ambassadors who can help further the cause of the game in Victoria.
“However, without the fans our efforts will all prove futile, and it is imperative we open our arms and invite the public to join us at the beginning of this remarkable and unique journey. “
