Opposition Team News: Glory unchanged but without Socceroo

Perth Glory will go unchanged into this week’s contest against City after coming off a strong performance against Wellington.

Kenny Lowe named his side to travel to Melbourne on Thursday with the news Adam Taggart will miss out another week due to a calf injury.

The selection will not worry the Glory too much at this stage with their potent forward line firing on all cylinders against the Phoenix.

Reports of Socceroo Rhys Williams not completing the Glory’s final session have also surfaced but Club officials have assured he will play during Friday night’s encounter.

It’s shaping up to be another offensive shootout this Friday night with the likes of Diego Castro, Andy Keogh and Nebojsa Marinkovic playing important roles in their side’s first two results this season.

With a strong physical presence on the pitch and a gritty determination to stall City’s potent forward line, it will be an intriguing contest between the sides at AAMI Park.

Don’t miss all the action tomorrow night when we take on the Glory, kick-off 7.50pm.
