Preston Lions FC joins City Clubs

Melbourne City FC is excited to announce that Preston Lions FC are the latest to join the City Clubs program!

This announcement could not have come at a better time with City’s senior NPL squad to begin its season away to the Lions on Friday night.

This fixture will be played at Genis Steel Stadium @ B.T Connor Reserve and kicks off at 8pm.

There will also be a City merchandise truck, as well as a membership marquee at the venue to get you sorted with all of your City needs!

A number of City’s A-League players will be in action, with the likes of Stefan Colakovski, Ben Garuccio, Marco Tilio, and Naoki Tsubaki all featuring in our final NPL pre-season friendly last Saturday.

A week after netting his first A-League goal, Colakovski scored a hattrick in that friendly – a big 7-1 win against Victory.

Preston Lions FC have been a major part of the Macedonian community ever since it was founded way back in 1947 so there’s a nice link to Colakovski who also comes from the same background.

With City not in action in the A-League until Monday, get set for a big Friday night of football down at B.T Connor Reserve before you rush home to catch our W-League side take on Perth – live on Kayo.
