A stunning 86th minute volley from Samir Nasri was enough to give Manchester City braging rights over sister Club Melbourne City in a historic encounter at Cbus Super Stadium on the Gold Coast.

Both sides had their chances to open the scoring throughout the match however the English Premier League giants flexed their muscle late in the second half after the French international burried his volley in the top corner.

Although one Frenchman headlined the act, another stole the show tonight with the impressive performance of Harry Novillo. The Melbourne City FC striker put on a clinic at stages, playing with an air of confidence after signing a permanent deal with the Club earlier in the month.

Novillo almost found the cob-webbs on 43’ minutes with the winger propping just inside the 18-yard box before swivelling and forcing a finger-tip save from Wally Caballero.

The strikers other chance in the match had fans at the ground and Manchester City fans in front of their TV screens around the world in awe as he dropped the shoulder past James Horsfield and dinked a magical chip past Caballero that almost shaved the back post.
