The centre back joins from Adelaide United where he was named their Youth Player of the Year and has signed on until the conclusion of the 2017/18 season.
While a physical defender, Tongyik possesses promising ability on the ball, and is capable playing throughout the defensive line and in a holding midfield position.
After arriving in Australia from Sudan in 2003, Tongyik played much of his junior football for Adelaide Olympic before joining Adelaide’s youth system and was a part of the Reds NPL promotion and NYL Conference A Premiership.
