Staying Safe Online
Melbourne City FC uses the internet and social media to connect with our fans, our community and our city. We love that the internet allows you to connect with us in a digital age, but we also believe it is important for everyone to understand how to make use of this technology appropriately. Most importantly, Melbourne City FC want you to stay safe online.
Luckily, there are plenty of resources available online to help our fans of every age, for parents and guardians of young fans, to help them to stay safe online.
NOTE: Parents and guardians please be aware that not all cyber safety training materials will suit all age groups, and while we have tried to indicate an age-appropriate range, we always recommend that you view the content first to determine whether a program is suitable for your child.
Office of the Children’s eSafety Commissioner
The Office of the Children’s eSafety Commissioner promotes respect and responsible behaviour online. It has resources for parents and children, and a complaints service for cyberbullying and illegal online content.

Stay Smart Online
Stay Smart Online is the Australian Government’s online safety and security website, which provides an alert service for recent online threats and tips on how to secure your devices, business operations and how to protect yourself when using social media and shopping online.
It also has links to some useful resources for teachers, kids and teens.

Think U Know
Originally developed in the UK by the Child Exploitation and Online Protection (CEOP) Centre, ThinkUKnow Australia was established by the AFP in 2009. It has two cyber safety programs – one designed for parents, carers and teachers, and another for older children and teenagers.
The Youth site provides practical advice and how-to guides on topics from what to do if something goes wrong to how to change your security settings on various social media sites
