Melbourne City will be hosting the City Challenge program, helping drive female participation in football at all levels.

The City Challenge program will be the follow up to the City Think Tank session which invited eight female young leaders during International Women’s Day to discuss issues and barriers that impact the participation of females in football.

Following a presentation from VicHealth’s Shelly White and a presentation by Club CEO Scott Munn, the group workshopped topics for discussion and development for improving the gender divide in football.

The three areas identified by VicHealth and the group were organisational leadership, profile and participation.

April’s City Challenge will dive further into these three key areas as well as receive insight from a range of key note speakers including the PFA’s Angela Collins, FFV’s Ash Callaghan and FFA’s Sarah Walsh.

To be a part of the City Challenge on Monday 10 April, send your details to melissa.missailidis@melbournecityfc.com.au with the subject line ‘City Challenge’.
