With our A-League Men’s pre-season in full swing, preparations for the upcoming 2022/23 A-League Men’s season are well and truly underway.
With the comings and goings this off season, we’ve seen a few changes to squad numbers.
A couple of weeks ago we announced that new signings Richard van der Venne and Callum Talbot would wear 8 and 25 respectively.
The number ‘8’ opened up after midfielder Aiden O’Neill elected to change his squad number to 13, which has been vacant since the departure of Socceroo Nathaniel Atkinson in January.
After making six appearances in his first season back with City, Jordon Hall (previously 34) is another who has changed his number. Hall will be seen in 18 this season, last worn by Connor Metcalfe who has recently begun his first season in Germany with 2.Bundesliga club FC St. Pauli.
Luke Oresti, who made his senior debut for City in last season’s FFA Cup campaign, will move from 48 to 30 for the upcoming season.
Recently signed Scholarship duo, Arion Sulemani and Emin Durakovic, will wear number 34 and 39 respectively in their first season as part of City’s senior squad.
