Team News: Arzani rewarded with Derby call up

Team News: Arzani rewarded with Derby call up

The teams are in for Saturday’s Melbourne Derby at Etihad Stadium. See who’s in and who’s out of this week’s side.

City starlet Daniel Arzani has been rewarded for his impressive FNYL Grand Final performance with a call up to City’s Melbourne Derby side.

Arzani joins Manny Muscat and Paulo Retre as the additions to the extended side that will be cut by two 90 minutes before kick-off.

City walked away unscathed from Friday’s contest in Coffs Harbour with another full strength squad named for the contest. Josh Rose is the unlucky man to make way for Arzani with Michael Valkanis adding more attacking options.

Arzani, alongside Ruon Tongyik and Bruce Kamau, returned to Melbourne on Thursday after completing Josep Gombau’s Olyroos camp on the Central Coast earlier in the week and the trio will be fit and firing for the Derby.

City take on Victory in the final Melbourne Derby of the regular season on Saturday night at Etihad Stadium, kick-off 7.50pm. Don’t forget our Three Match Membership is the best way to see our final home matches of the season. Hit the banner below to sign up today!
