Team News: Big names return to the fold for Wellington clash

Three matches into the new season and you couldn’t have asked for much more from City, the team currently sitting top of the table having taken all nine available points so far.

Fresh off a 2-0 Melbourne Derby win last time out, City now turns its attention to Wellington Phoenix.

The first of back-to-back 5pm home kick-offs at AAMI Park, Head Coach Patrick Kisnorbo will be looking to see his team continue its strong form ahead of the upcoming World Cup break.

He could be forced into some tough calls come Sunday afternoon, with some big names included in the squad.

Taras Gomulka returns after missing the Derby through suspension, Scott Jamieson has also been named after his late withdrawal last week, while Nuno Reis has been included in an extended squad for the first time this season.
