The teams are in for Friday night’s clash with Adelaide United at AAMI Park. See who’s in and who’s out of this week’s side ahead of the contest.

With two regular season matches left, Michael Valkanis sees the return of three experienced players to his squad to take on Adelaide as Melbourne City finalises its preparations for the end of season playoffs.

The long-awaited return of Michael Jakobsen has come this week as the Dane has been passed fully fit to make his return for the contest and play vital minutes to get up to match speed.

Unsung midfielder Neil Kilkenny also makes his return to the side after a back injury that has hampered the former Preston North End man over the past month. Osama Malik also makes his way back from suspension and will look to slot back in the central defensive position to partner Jakobsen.

The only out this week is the exclusion of Ruon Tongyik who has picked up an illness and won’t be available for Friday’s contest. The young defender is expected to be up for selection next week against Perth.
