It’s another settled squad for City as Warren Joyce has named a relatively unchanged lineup for the blockbuster clash in the Hunter.
With no injury concerns coming out of the 2-0 win over Brisbane, this week has been about preparing for the high-flying Jets with City yet to lose to Newcastle this season.
Despite being named in the extended squad, Michael Jakobsen has been ruled out of the contest with the defender not travelling to Newcastle. The Dane failed to train on Thursday and will miss the contest as he looks to be fit for a potential Grand Final if his side qualify.
Warren Joyce will make the final decision on his match day squad 90 minutes before kick-off. City face Newcastle at McDonald Jones Stadium on Friday night, kick-off 7.50pm.
