Team News: One in, one out from suspension

Team News: One in, one out from suspension

The teams are in for Thursday’s clash with Adelaide United at Coopers Stadium. See who’s in and who’s out of this week’s side.

City got back onto the winner’s list in Michael Valkanis’ first week in charge, dispatching the Western Sydney Wanderers at AAMI Park.

City will look to go back-to-back this week but will be without Neil Kilkenny who misses out due to suspension. The influential midfielder will miss a week for the second time after accumulating three yellow cards after his first suspension. Kilkenny now sits on eight yellows for the season and will be walking a tightrope for the remaining rounds.

It’s not all bad news for City on the suspension front as Fernando Brandan returns to the side after serving his two-week ban. The winger retains his place in the extended side alongside Daniel Arzani and Paulo Retre which will be cut down by two 90 minutes before kick-off.

City take on Adelaide on Thursday night, kick-off 7.50pm. See the match live on Fox Sports 505. City return to AAMI Park next Thursday night as they take on Central Coast Mariners. Sign up for our three match membership below!
