Team News: Semi Final First Leg squad confirmed

Team News: Semi Final First Leg squad confirmed

Finals football is just around the corner for your City boys, beginning with our away Semi Final leg this Friday night.

After watching the first week of Finals from home due to earning a week off thanks to finishing top, we make the trip to Allianz Stadium to face a red-hot Sydney FC side.

The Sky Blues will come into this hotly contested clash with plenty of confidence following a come-from-behind Elimination Final win over Western Sydney last time out.

That was also the same opponent we faced the last time we were on the pitch just under a fortnight ago, securing a 3-2 win on a night of celebration at AAMI Park.

Missing from our squad that night was Kosovan midfielder Valon Berisha, who Head Coach Rado Vidosic said was given a rest to manage an ongoing hip issue.

The good news for City fans is he’s back amongst the squad for Finals football, Vidosic telling media during the week he was one of the best performers in an intra-club friendly last Friday.

City’s youngest-ever Men’s goal scorer, Max Caputo, has also been added to the squad for Friday night’s clash, with Vidosic having almost a full complement of players to pick from.
