City’s W-League young guns Melina Ayres and Olivia Ellis have picked up where they left off for City, selected in the U20 Australian side to compete in the AFF Women’s Championship.
The duo have been working hard in the off-season with Women’s National Premier League Victoria sides FC Alemain and FC Bulleen Lions respectively and have received the call up to travel to Myanmar to compete against the hosts, Malaysia and Timor Leste in Group B.
Ayres currently leads the NPLW with 19 goals so far this season while Ellis has starred for second placed Bulleen with four rounds left in the season.
