City in the Community Melbourne’s Gabrielle Collins has been awarded The Yecid Bolaño Award for Inspiring Young People at the Young Leaders Summit 2021 Awards presented by Etihad Airways.

An integral member of our team, Gabby was recognised for her tremendous efforts in our local community taking out the award for the young leader who inspires and drives change in their communities and who acts as a role model to their peers.
Since joining the team, Gabby has strived as a mentor for young girls in particular, inspiring them to play football.
Gabby was crowned the award at Thursday night’s Young Leaders Summit 2021 Awards as part of this year’s Young Leaders Summit – the seventh consecutive event.
Speaking on her award, Gabrielle Collins said: “It’s a real honour to be awarded this award and even be nominated for it amongst so many worth candidates.”
“I’ve been with Melbourne City for around four years now and have been lucky enough to be an I Speak Football coach throughout that time.
“We’ve supported the disadvantaged children in our community and run free weekly football clinics to assist them with not only their football skills, but also their schooling and provide them with a number of wonderful mentors.
“It’s been really amazing to develop that program with other incredible young leaders in Melbourne and really help our local community flourish, and I honestly wouldn’t be where I am today without the people that I do this with.”
