Biography
Melbourne City announced the signing of Olyroos centre-back, Kai Trewin, on a three-year deal ahead of the 2024/25 season. Trewin’s three-year contract will see him in City blue until at least the end of the 2026/27 season.
At just 22 years of age, the ball-playing defender joins City with a wealth of first-team experience, having made 116 career appearances since his debut as an 18-year-old for Brisbane Roar in 2020.
His strong form during the 2023/24 season was rewarded with his first A-League All Stars selection.
A talented player both on and off the ball, the young defender is regarded as one of the brightest young centre-backs in the country, having represented Australia at U20 and U23 levels.
