Biography

Promising Australian defender Liam Bonetig joined City ahead of the 2025/26 season on a three-year deal following an agreement with Scottish giants Celtic FC.

Bonetig arrives at City after two seasons in Glasgow, where he featured prominently for the Celtic’s B Team and gained valuable experience in both the UEFA Youth League and Lowland League.

Standing at 193cm, Bonetig is comfortable on the ball and technically well-suited to the City style of play. Known for his aerial strength, ability to play out from the back and composure on the ball, he possesses great vision and strong leadership skills.
