Macca’s Play on the Pitch postponed

Regrettably, due to ongoing heavy rainfall and the condition of the playing surface, we have had to postpone Macca’s Play on the Pitch originally scheduled to take place after Sunday’s A-League Men’s home match at AAMI Park.

Whilst Macca’s Play on the Pitch won’t be going ahead as originally planned, there will still be loads of free family activities to enjoy in and around AAMI Park.

Outside

CITY SQUARE will be returning for the first time in season 2022/23, with a whole heap of free family fun to keep the young and the young at heart entertained until kick-off.

Open from 3pm, stop by City Square to meet some of our A-League Men players, get your face painted or test your skills on the Melbourne City TeqBall table.

The Macca’s Giant Inflatable is back again and the City Football School team will be hosting free drop-in sessions for kids who want to get the heartrate up.

Sit back and enjoy the live music or have a kick around with some mates, there’s something for everyone at City Square.

THE SKYLINE BAR will once again be open for patrons 18+ to gather and have a drink before kick-off. With a DJ mixing the tunes and an unrivalled view of the city skyline, The Skyline Bar is the perfect spot to kick-off your Melbourne City matchday.

The Skyline bar will be open from gates (4pm) and is situated on the Western forecourt adjacent to Gate 7.

Proudly serving Asahi 3.5%, grab your mates and head to The Skyline Bar for a drink before heading inside to cheer on your City boys.

Inside

The fun doesn’t stop once you’re in your seat either, with plenty of opportunities to get involved pre-match, at half-time and after the final whistle.

Whilst Macca’s Play on the Pitch may have been postponed, we’ve got a few tricks up our sleeve.

Be in your seats early for the chance to be selected to watch the players warm-up from behind the goals, participate in the half-time show or head into the inner sanctum post-match to meet the players in the mix zone.

At full time, the players will make their way around the ground to meet the fans, sign autographs and pose for selfies.

There’s still plenty happening this Sunday at AAMI Park and we hope to see you there when the City boys look to make it four wins from four to start the 2022/23 season.
