Heart Health Takes Centre Stage as Melbourne City Partners with Advara HeartCare

Melbourne City FC is excited to announce Advara HeartCare as the Club’s newest Support Partner, bringing world-class heart health expertise to the team both on and off the pitch.

Advara HeartCare has worked closely with the Melbourne City medical team to provide pre-season heart screenings for both the A-League Men’s and A-League Women’s squads, ensuring our athletes are ready to start the season at full strength.

Heart disease continues to rise in Australia and around the globe, and Advara HeartCare is dedicated to changing that—not just for patients already in their care, but for all Australians.

This partnership aims to raise awareness about the importance of heart health, and as a symbol of this commitment, Advara HeartCare’s logo will proudly feature on the Academy team’s shorts and medical bibs during the 2025 season.

Dr David O’Donnell, Advara HeartCare Cardiologist & CEO, shared his enthusiasm for the collaboration:

“With our national cardiology network, we currently have 1.2 million opportunities each year to improve heart health across Australia. However, it is those who aren’t already in our care that we really need to reach.

“Partnering with Melbourne City allows us not only to support the Club’s athletes, but also to raise awareness about the importance of proactive heart care.”

Melbourne City FC CEO, Brad Rowse, welcomed their support:

“We’re thrilled to partner with Advara HeartCare, a leader in their field doing incredible work nationwide.

“At Melbourne City, we pride ourselves on providing the best facilities and support for our players, both on and off the pitch. With Advara HeartCare onboard, we can continue to do just that.”

This heart-first partnership is a powerful reminder that looking after your health is just as important as any win on the field.
