On facing Sydney FC…
“We’re looking forward to what is a very, very big game tomorrow against Sydney.
“Yeah, very weird [that we’re yet to face Sydney FC], but that’s the way the draw is. So, can’t do anything about that. It’s how it is and, you know, we know we’re up for a very, very tough game. They’re a good side. We know, they’re very good with the ball. The great attacking weapons is, as it’s highlighted with the boys up front.
“But we we got to be positive as well. You know, we’re not going to sit back and let them dictate. We got to try to play our own game, and we do that regardless if we’re home or away.

“I think it’ll be a good game and, hopefully, we can get a positive result because as I said, all these games coming up in the next, especially three or four weeks, they’re going to be crucial.
“I think the next two or three weeks, you would probably think you start to get a clearer picture of how it’s all going to end up in terms of, top six.”
Lecks update…
“Yeah he has [been very professional], he’s very good with that. But he’s also, frustrated as well as, you know, he got himself going over the last six weeks and performing very, very well. Then to get a little bit of a setback with this little calf strain, has irritated him a little bit, but, you know, he’s got his head down.

“He’s working through it. I think the positive sign, Joey, to be honest, is that the last one he had, it took a lot longer for him to recover, to get to the first stage. And with this one here, within three or four days, he was already jogging.
“He’s recovered a lot quicker, with this injury than the last one so that’s a positive sign.”
On Socceroos returning to Melbourne…
“We’re about to go out to training this morning and they they arrived early yesterday. We sent them home. They didn’t turn up yesterday. But, I spoke to them yesterday, all of them, and they’re in really good spirits.

“Aziz obviously had the 90 minutes, well the 180 minutes, so he’s probably a little bit more fatigued, than Kai [Trewin] and Marco [Tilio]. But I spoke to them again earlier just this morning and they feel fine, they feel fresh. So, you know, we’ll go through the training session today, and if they’re fine, then, I can’t see why they wouldn’t start.”
