Melbourne City FC will be looking to record a third-consecutive win when it comes up against Adelaide United as it vies for top spot in the A-League Men.

City had a productive New South Wales road trip last week, beating Newcastle Jets 4-2 on Tuesday and then Western Sydney Wanderers 3-1 on Friday night.
In both games, the City boys looked frighteningly good in attack as Jamie Maclaren, Andrew Nabbout, Mathew Leckie and Florin Berenguer ran rampant across the two fixtures.
The team will continue searching for defensive improvement given the final scorelines, though the Wanderers’ goal on Friday arrived only from the penalty spot amidst an overall lack of chances afforded by the City backline.
