Melbourne City star, Holly McNamara, has been named Professional Footballers Australia (PFA) October Player of the Month following her outstanding start to the Liberty A-League season.
Voted on by players across the A-League Women’s competition, McNamara won the player vote ahead of City teammate Rhianna Pollicina, Perth Glory duo Susan Phonsongkham and Millie Farrow, and Brisbane Roar’s Jenna McCormick.
Reflecting on the award, McNamara said: “Thank you to everyone who voted for me for the PFA Player of the month.”
“It’s a huge honour for me and I’m very grateful to be voted by my peers.
“Thank you to all of my teammates who bring the best out of me everyday and all of the staff at Melbourne City who help me play with freedom.”
