CALLED UP: Stott, Proulx and Ekic named

Melbourne City trio Rebekah Stott, Lysianne Proulx and Emina Ekic have been named in their respective national team squads ahead of the upcoming November-December international window.

City Women’s Captain, Stott, will depart for South America as the Football Ferns take on Colombia in a two-game series.

The 95-times capped New Zealand international has been one of City’s best in the heart of defence and will look to continue her run of form when the Ferns take on the ever-dangerous Colombia.

Canadian shot-stopper, Proulx, will meet up with her national team as Canada host the Matildas in a two-game friendly series.

The world number 10 will host Australia at Starlight Stadium in Victoria before closing out the year at BC Place in Vancouver.

Ekic and Bosnia Herzegovina will meet up in the November-December window as they continue their UEFA Women’s Nations League campaign.

Leading Group 4 in League B, Ekic’s side will take on Slovenia away, before hosting Belarus in Zenica, Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Ekic heads to international duty following a player of the match performance in City’s 3-2 win over Sydney FC on Sunday.
