After a pair of disappointing results in Unite Round, both Melbourne City squads will be looking to bounce back in this weekend’s fixtures.
Dario Vidosic’s top-of-the-table City Women will kick things off on Saturday evening when we host Wellington Phoenix in our first fixture at City Football Academy.
We’re inviting all City fans to come and get behind the team for free on Saturday, with no tickets required to enter the venue.
After Saturday’s action at Casey Fields, our Men’s squad will be in action the following day, set to take on Central Coast Mariners in Gosford.
Ahead of these fixtures, both Head Coaches have now confirmed their squads.
Vidosic has included a quartet of youngsters to his extended squad for Saturday’s fixture; Kiera Meyers, Tijan McKenna, Leia Varley and Caitlin Karic all with a chance to be involved against Wellington.
Aurelio Vidmar has added both Jordon Hall and Zane Schreiber to his squad, the latter looking to make his return from a knee injury.
In other injury news, Mathew Leckie continues to progress well in his recovery from a hamstring strain and has been integrated into team training, eyeing a return inside the next couple of weeks.
